[vdbv.designs] goes to the movies

We are excited to announce that [vdbv.designs] products will be used on the first mixed reality film combining the world of Second Life with the real world. VolaVola (Italian for "Fly me") is a project for the making of two movies from the same script, a first draft in progress is shot entirely inside Second Life with the innovative technique of machinima and will be an animation movie; the other will be made mostly in the real world with traditional technologies and players in flesh and bones.

The movie is a project of the established Italian director Berardo Carboni who also wrote and directed the controversial 2006 movie Shooting Silvio which had a full cinematic and DVD release (here is a review from Variety). The current movie will be shot partly in Rome and partly in Second Life, mixing machinima and film footage to tell a story of shifting realities, and three couples whose lives gradually become intertwined.

[vdbv.designs] provides all the body hair items for several characters already on set and will also provide some items that have not been released yet, like grey and white body hair for some of the leading characters.
